2/12/12
4th annual Cycle for ALS
Benefiting ALS TDI and The Blazeman Foundation
Join FMRC members for all or part of a 16.5 hour spin-a-thon on Saturday, February 11, 2012 at ClubSport in San Ramon to raise money to fight ALS. Why 16.5 hours? That's the time it took triathlete Jon Blais to complete the Ironman Hawaii course in 2005 while battling Amytrophic Lateral Sclerosis, also known as Lou Gehrig's disease.
Since participating in this fundraiser, FMRC members have raised more than $55,000 towards the fight against ALS, contributing to research grants that have resulted in major breakthroughs.
This year, we're changing it up a bit. In addition to eleven 90-minute spin sessions, we're holding a running team challenge. Now runners can get in the game without having to figure out how to clip in, adjust tension or deal with "seat" issues.
